Even though many papers and I have said that Emma will be in the film, “Napoleon and Betsy,” it looks like it has not been confirmed yet. But, Watson is interested in the part. There has not, yet, been a confirmed start date for this film.

I am hoping that it will be confirmed that she gets the role. I would love to see her play Betsy. Even though the film is completely different from her role as Hermione Granger, in the Harry Potter films, she is not letting herself be typecast.

Emma will be playing a noble woman (Betsy Balcombe), who is trapped on a British isle. She ends up falling in love with a man in exile. It sounds like a great role to have.

Scarlett Johansson was cast in the role, but she dropped out. She will stay on board as a producer.
