Emma Watson is going to Cambridge next September. She is looking to get a degree in philosophy, according to www.mirror.co.uk.

I have heard a lot about Cambridge and it seem one of the best schools out there.

But, what about her finish filming “Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows?” The movie will be broken up into two parts. They will work around her school breaks.

How lucky she is that they understand about the desire to go to school. Did she switch her major? I thought it was fine arts or English? Oh well, I am sure that she will like Philosophy.

The movies will be released in 2010 and 2011.

Congrads Emma for getting into Cambridge.

In a Dark Dark House

According to www.whatsonstage.com, Emma Watson was at the European premiere of Neil LaBute’s In a Dark Dark House. Also, at the Almeida theater were Jonathan Pryce, Hayley Mills and John Hannah.

The play is starring David Morrissey, Steven Mackintosh and Kira Sternbach.

Steven and David “play brothers Terry and Drew who are brought together as one undergoes court-ordered rehab. The forced reunion brings to light barely-hidden animosities between the two and their troubled legacy, both inside and outside their dark family home.”

Emma Watson recently filmed scenes with Jim Broadbent (Horace Slughorn) for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Emma was quoted as saying,

“Today is my first scene with Jim Broadbent as Professor Slughorn. It’s amazing to be working with him. It’s also great because I have been eating profiteroles ALL DAY at Slughorn’s dinner party!!!”

Congrats to Emma for starring in the BBC Production, Ballet Shoes.  This film is set in 1930s London and Emma plays the part of orphaned Pauline Fossil.  Pauline is adopted by an eccentric explorer, played by Richard Griffiths.  She told the Daily Telegraph:

“I’m not the girl they get the number 19 bus into town with to grab a coffee.”

Here are a couple photos from the film.

Emma Watson - a normal teenager?

Emma dear… Trust us - you don’t want to be a normal teenager.  Enjoy your “celeb life” while you have it  :)

Life in the wizardry school isn’t so magical for Emma Watson after all. The 17-year-old actress who plays Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films would just like to hang out with her friends like how a normal teenager would.

“Sometime[s] I miss the fact that I have never really been a teenager because I have been Hermione for such a long time,” Watson confides to the Daily Telegraph.

The English actress has been playing Harry’s girl best friend since she was nine, beating out thousands of girls to play the coveted role. And although winning the part is like winning the lottery, the growing up with all the media and public attention has been difficult.

“When I head I’d got the part of Hermione, my mother said to me it was very important to keep the friends I’d made already. She told me that in the future it would be important to know people liked me for myself and not because of my career. Now I know exactly what she means.”

Part of growing up is also dating boys and Watson says she’s having a hard time in that particular area. She says that her younger brother, Alexander, is the only guy she can go out with and not cause a stir as the others would be immediately branded as her boyfriend.

And her view of the press media is another thing she is unsure of. “I try not to read it, but it’s hard. Who doesn’t want to read about themselves? But it’s always written with this tone - as if the person knows me. But they don’t.”

And while she is branching out as an actress, her education is also one of her top priorities. She is applying to Cambridge University to give herself options.

“I feel it’s terribly important to continue with my education, in case acting doesn’t work out for me.”
